Claude in Singapore: A Practical Guide for Businesses
How a Singapore business gets Claude: which plan fits (Pro, Team or Enterprise), what it costs, how billing and tax work, what PDPA means for it, and what Anthropic's Singapore office changes.
Direct Answer
Claude is the AI assistant made by Anthropic, and Singapore businesses buy it directly from Anthropic. One person usually starts on Pro. A team of 2 to 150 people uses the Team plan, and larger organisations use Enterprise, which starts at 20 seats on an annual contract. Anthropic lists prices in US dollars before tax. Anthropic opened a Singapore office on 14 October 2026. Lyt Brox is a Singapore operations company that sets Claude up for real work once a business has chosen its plan.
What Anthropic's Singapore Office Means
On 14 October 2026 Anthropic opened its Singapore office, its fifth in Asia-Pacific, and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Digital Development and Information on AI safety, security and model evaluation, and on research into AI adoption. Anthropic named GovTech Singapore, DBS, GIC, Grab and Sea among the Singapore organisations already using Claude.
For a small or medium business, two points matter:
- Anthropic has said it plans to help small and medium-sized businesses adopt AI responsibly. As of this page's date it is a stated plan, not a programme with published terms.
- Nothing about buying Claude changes. You still sign up and pay Anthropic directly, on the same plans.
Claude Price in Singapore, by Plan
For a fuller comparison see Claude Team vs Pro vs Enterprise. Prices below are from Anthropic's pricing page as read on 24 October 2026, in US dollars, before tax. Check claude.com/pricing before you buy, because plans change.
| Plan | Who it suits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | One person, often the owner, trying Claude on real work | US$20 a month, or US$17 a month billed yearly |
| Max | One heavy user who runs out of Pro's usage | From US$100 a month |
| Team | 2 to 150 people who need shared projects, central billing and admin | Standard seat US$25 a month (US$20 yearly); Premium seat US$125 a month (US$100 yearly) |
| Enterprise | Larger organisations needing stronger admin and data controls | US$20 a seat a month plus usage at API rates, yearly, 20-seat minimum |
The usual path for an SME: the owner starts on Pro, finds work Claude is good at, then moves the people who need it to Team so instructions, projects and billing are shared instead of scattered across personal accounts.
Paying for Claude from Singapore
- Listed prices exclude tax. Anthropic's pricing page says so, and its help centre says the billing address decides how tax is calculated.
- Use the company's details. The billing address should be your principal place of business. Where a tax ID field appears, add it before the first invoice, because Anthropic does not reissue past invoices with new details.
- Ask your accountant how to record it. How a subscription from an overseas supplier is treated in your books and GST return depends on your own GST status, so take the invoice to whoever does your accounts.
Claude and PDPA
Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act still applies when your staff put personal data into Claude. Your business remains responsible for that data.
Practical steps before a team uses Claude:
- Decide what kinds of customer and staff data may go into Claude, and write it down.
- Read Anthropic's commercial terms and data handling for the plan you buy. Team and Enterprise differ in admin and data controls.
- Have each person sign in on the company plan, not a personal account, so access ends when they leave.
- When Claude is connected to a business system, give it only the actions it needs, so it cannot reach records it has no reason to read.
This is general information, not legal advice.
Where Singapore Businesses Get Stuck
Buying Claude is easy. Making it dependable is the work. The common pattern:
- Several people pay for Claude separately, with no shared instructions.
- Company knowledge is pasted into one chat at a time and lost the next day.
- Good prompts live in one person's history.
- Nobody has decided what Claude may touch, so either it touches nothing useful or something it should not.
That is a setup problem, not a Claude problem. It is where a Claude consultant earns their fee.
How Lyt Brox Helps
We do four kinds of Claude work for Singapore businesses:
- Claude workspace setup: folders, business knowledge and procedures written as instructions Claude follows.
- Claude Cowork setup for teams: the folders it works in, shared skills, scheduled tasks and limits.
- Connecting your team's own Claude to your business system, limited to the actions you choose.
- AI agents built on Claude, with an off switch a person holds.
We run our own company on Claude every day. See how we run Lyt Brox on Claude.
